Key information about CEBC...

Where & when does the church meet?

Our Church meets every Sunday at 10:30am for our Sunday Service. The first Sunday of each month (apart from August) is Messy Church where everyone joins together briefly before those getting 'messy' go to the School Hall for the activities. Those not getting 'messy' remain in the church for bible reading and a talk.

Prayer Meeting or Bible Study (on alternate weeks):
Prayer Meetings/Bible Study are held at 6:00 pm at someone's home very close to the church. Details can be obtained via church contact us page or CEBC News or announced at morning worship.  All are welcome to join.

Home Group:
A Home Group meets on a Thursday evening (term time) 7:00 pm at someone's home. Details can be obtained via church contact us page or CEBC News or announced at morning worship. All are welcome to join.

The Church Premises is located at:
49 High Road
Cotton End
Bedford MK45 3AA

See map. There is parking available on site.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go.

Our worship can best be described as evangelical & charismatic in style, using a mixture of contemporary and traditional worship songs. Our services can be lively, joyful events, but we also take time to be reflective. We have all-age events, prayer events and youth events within our regular calendar.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What happens to the kids at church?

We have a fantastic Sunday morning programme for children at Cotton End Baptist Church. Activities involve music, dance, drama, stories, crafts, fun and much more. We meet at 10.30 in the church, joining with everyone else for the first part of the service then the children go in to the "School Hall" for their own activities.

Tots (0 months to 3 years):
There is a corner beside the entrance to the worship area available with seating and quiet toys for parents and young children. There is no crèche facility but a room is available with a video link for parents who wish to take their little ones under 3 from the worship service to a more private space. This is in the vestry accessible through the main worship area.

Stepping Stone (From 3 years):
For children from 3 years old to those in Year 8, this is a fun, action packed programme for a Sunday Morning. The Stepping Stone programme runs from 10:45am to 11:45am.

For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the relevant age groups for you under Ministries.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them.

Please feel free to contact us.
