LIFE @ CEBC

Church life is always on the move. Our patterns of worship and activities are always changing to meet the needs of the congregations and communities we serve. On the other hand there are regular activities that form the basis for our life here at Cotton End Baptist Church. We'd like to introduce you to some of these things.

Children's Ministry

Stepping Stones, Quest, Shortstown Sunday Club, All-age Services, holiday clubs and special events all add up to a packed programme across the age ranges. Too young for Sunday School? Morning services at Cotton End always have a crèche available.

Youth Work


We are committed to sharing the good news about Jesus Christ with young people of all ages. We want also to help them discover and use their gifts in the life of the church. There is a regular programme of activities which includes:
  • Quest (4-9 yrs)
  • Rock Solid (10-14 yrs)
  • After Hours (14+ yrs)
  • E:vent's & Special events

House Groups


Small groups meeting together weekly or fortnightly are an important aspect of our church life. With a commitment to the application of Scripture to our daily lives, these groups offer the opportunity to help and encourage one another as we seek to grow in our faith.

   

Pastoral Care


Our housegroups provide the first point of contact for pastoral care, but the care life of Cotton End doesn't stop there. We offer help, guidance and encouragement to all in the church through our programme, personal friendship, visits and, where needed, appropriate counselling by appointment or referral. And our care extends to our community too.

   

Light Lunch Club


Every other week, why not come along and join our Light Lunch club... for a spot of lunch some socialising and some delicious cakes!

   

Mission Focus


We support a number of organisations and individuals involved in Christian work overseas and in the UK. We also seek to be active in the local community giving a range of opportunities for people to know more about Jesus Christ.

Sunday Worship


Our worship can best be described as evangelical & charismatic in style, using a mixture of contemporary and traditional worship songs. Our services can be lively, joyful events, but we also take time to be reflective. We have all-age events, prayer events and youth events within our regular calendar.

Other Activities


A local community coffee morning, held fortnightly; Alpha courses and discussion groups. There's more to life at Cotton End Baptist Church than you might imagine.
